The White House announced on Oct. 27, 2026, that a new video would premiere at 8:30 p.m. that night, only on TrumpTV.gov and the White House app1, 2, 3, 4. The announcement went out that evening on the White House's account on X. Its Trump TV page describes the site as an official livestream of presidential speeches, announcements and administration highlights, updated in real time5.

The White House post appears here.

The post opens with “Making America Great Again” and announces a new video, but it does not say what the video shows1, 4. The channel it points to is new. Newsweek reported that Trump TV launched on a Monday at 7 p.m. ET, with the White House promoting it as a place to watch the administration’s “biggest moments all in one place.”2 Deputy Assistant to the President Kaelan Dorr called the channel on X a “livestream of the Administration’s greatest hits, unfiltered.” Its first streamed footage, by Newsweek's account, was a speech Trump delivered at Mount Rushmore on July 3.

The launch came during a fight over press access. Newsweek also reported that Trump barred CNN, MS NOW and Politico from the White House, and that the outlets filed a federal lawsuit challenging their exclusion over their reporting2. That suit asks a federal court to restore the outlets’ access while the challenge proceeds. The dispute provides context for the White House’s video channel, but the announcement itself gives no basis to connect the new video to the press-access fight or to a family-policy issue.
