Oregon School District keeps male student in girls’ locker rooms after fight
The Daily Wire report puts a school’s locker-room policy and a reported altercation into Wisconsin’s governor’s race, where parents deserve answers about who belongs in girls’ facilities.

Oregon School District in Dane County, Wisconsin, allows a male student to use girls’ locker rooms even after he was involved in a violent altercation with female students, the Heartland Post reports. Superintendent Shannon Anderson told one parent that “the district must follow Seventh Circuit case law.”1
“the district must follow Seventh Circuit case law.”
The Oregon district keeps girls’ locker rooms open to that male student1, and every parent with a daughter in school has a stake in who gets inside. Pro-GOP super PACs ran locker-room and sports ads in the Montana, Ohio and Nevada Senate races in 20242.
On September 17, Gays Against Groomers posted on X that police were called to Oregon School District. Parents say the call followed a physical altercation that the male student instigated. Parents say the girls who felt uncomfortable, not the male student, were told to use individual restrooms1 and were urged to seek counseling. Parents deserve an answer from that candidate on who belongs in a girls’ locker room.
A May 2019 Rasmussen poll, cited in the American Principles Project's Family First report, found 50 percent of Americans oppose and 31 percent support transgender students using opposite-sex bathrooms3.
After the 2024 election, Democrats fought among themselves over whether to abandon or moderate their position on transgender issues, NBC News reported2. Federal pressure has already reached Wisconsin schools: the U.S. Department of Education opened a Title IX investigation into the New Richmond School District1 over letting students use restrooms and intimate facilities by gender identity rather than sex. A candidate who stays silent now repeats the 2020 mistake: Trump stayed away from this issue that year and lost.
