Jason Arday — Cambridge's youngest black professor, sociology of education — listed visiting posts Ohio State, Glasgow, and Durham on his official bio. Ohio State: "We have no record of an employee by that name." Glasgow: he "isn't a visiting professor" there. Durham: no formal position now.
That sits on top of plagiarism accusations — more than 100 passages in his PhD thesis looking lifted from another student's work. The awarding school cleared him. The resume still doesn't. Elite academia will forgive almost anything except getting caught without the right story. NY Post →
