Ramaswamy’s campaign refuses to answer H-1B questions

A post accuses the Ohio GOP nominee of wanting “infinite H-1Bs,” citing another account’s no-cap description; his campaign says he does not answer questions on the visas.

In an Oct. 11 post, Auron MacIntyre wrote that Vivek Ramaswamy wants “infinite H-1Bs.” MacIntyre cited an Oct. 10 post from The Constitutionalist, which claimed Ramaswamy’s position was “No Cap on # of Immigrants”1. MacIntyre also claimed that Ramaswamy knows the position is unpopular and is costing him the election.

The Constitutionalist called its list Ramaswamy’s “Official Position on H1B Immigration.” Beyond no cap, the list names applicants who “match” H-1B postings, less bureaucracy and a faster process2.

The program those bullets would loosen is capped. CBS News reports that the U.S. caps new H-1B visas at 65,000 a year, with another 20,000 available to applicants with a master’s degree or higher. CBS reports that investigations found some employers used the visa to replace American workers with less expensive temporary foreign workers3.

CBS also reports that Ramaswamy and Elon Musk urged the incoming Trump administration to bring in more foreign tech workers3. In his own Dec. 26, 2024 post, Ramaswamy said the reason comes down in part to culture. He wrote that American culture “has venerated mediocrity over excellence for way too long” and that the problem “starts YOUNG.”4
