Parents are getting an early warning before their school boards vote: Moms for Liberty has launched M4L AWARE, an artificial intelligence program that watches board agendas in more than 13,000 school districts. CEO and co-founder Tina Descovich unveiled the program on Oct. 9 at the group's national summit in Dallas2. Founded in 2021, the grassroots non-profit has grown to over 300 chapters in 48 states1.

Those chapters are where the warnings land. Moms for Liberty says M4L AWARE gives members detailed information about local school board topics and votes before the votes happen1. Fox News reports that Descovich expects the tool to surface concerning policies buried deep in agendas, giving families time to respond before officials act3.

The system scans agendas for issues involving DEI, gender policies, curriculum changes and Title IX, Fox News reports3. Descovich told Just the News that it scores every agenda item from one to 10, rating both concerns and positive items4. High-priority items trigger a plain-language summary and ready-to-share alert for local chapters to help parents organize before the board meets.

Descovich said the group has spent five years urging parents to attend board meetings, but that "it’s incredibly time-consuming to sift through thousands of pages in agendas each week, and school districts count on that3." If an agenda is too long for a working parent to read, who does that serve?

The group says M4L AWARE sweeps all of those districts every 12 hours5. According to Fox News, the alerts are designed to give chapters about 72 hours to mobilize parents, sign up for public comment and review proposals before board members vote3.

Descovich told Just the News that the alerts will show the group where to send its volunteers. She said lawyers will follow: "We've got so many legal partners here in the room that are willing to stand with us and just sue these school districts left and right when they're violating parental rights." Just the News reports that the group is also running get-out-the-vote efforts for the 2026 election in Florida, Texas and Georgia4. Board members who bury policy in long agendas will now face informed parents at the meeting, and again at the ballot box.
