Chloe Cole jokes about flying over Los Angeles traffic
After Tesla’s Roadster reveal, Cole joked about flying over Los Angeles traffic, echoing the thruster-powered stunts Tesla showed at the event.

Chloe Cole posted on X that she was watching Tesla’s Roadster reveal while driving south, then joked about an airborne escape from Los Angeles traffic. “Like me rocketing through the sky to avoid LA traffic, for example.”1
The Edmunds post she linked said, “The Tesla Roadster is real and it can fly.”2
Reuters reported that the reveal gave Tesla a showpiece car as the company shifts toward self-driving technology and robotics. Tesla stopped selling Model S and Model X vehicles this year to make room for Optimus humanoid-robot production. It also launched Cybercab, a two-seat robotaxi without a steering wheel, pedals or mirrors3.
Reuters reported that the white two-seater Roadster, developed with SpaceX, drove upside down on a ramp using suction, turned in the air and landed with built-in thrusters. Later, the car used its thrusters to jump over a truck and other vehicles while twisting in midair3.
Tesla engineering vice president Lars Moravy said the Roadster’s 10 thrusters connect to 600 liters of compressed air4. He also said it could accelerate from zero to 60 mph in less than one second and reach more than 230 mph. After those figures, Elon Musk said, “I think you've got to crack halfway to the speed of sound.” Musk described the collaboration this way: “This is the culmination of incredible work by Tesla and SpaceX engineers working closely together to make something that you haven't seen in any movie.”3
Tesla’s reservation page listed deposits of $50,000 for the Performance version and $250,000 for Thrust. Tesla said production would begin in 20283.
