Trump says Democrats backed child sex-change procedures and men in women's sports

Family Brief Staff

Rapid Response 47 posted the charge in the final days before an election, putting parents’ concerns about children and girls’ sports at the center of its message.

Sex-change procedures on children must end, and men must be kept out of women's sports; on October 31, 2026, Rapid Response 47 posted a statement attributed to @POTUS that put both issues beside tax cuts and border security. The post says every Democrat in Congress voted against the administration's tax cuts, voter I.D., and border security. It then says those same Democrats voted in favor of what it calls "transgender mutilation of your children" and in favor of men in women's sports1.

At a Rock Hill rally on October 29, Trump said the vote was five days away2.

The official Rapid Response 47 account on X posted the statement on October 31, 2026, as remarks attributed to @POTUS, with a video link attached1.

The House passed H.R. 1, the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, on May 22 by a 215-to-214 vote, with two Republicans voting against it. FactCheck.org reports that a breakdown of the bill published on May 21 showed $144 billion in added defense spending and $67 billion for homeland security immigration enforcement3.

At the Rock Hill rally on October 29, Trump said investment in new equipment had exploded by 21 percent. He credited the business tax credit in the Great, Big, Beautiful Bill and, more importantly, tariffs2. That speech is the record behind the post's tax claim, and for a family the question is whether the paycheck covers groceries and tuition.

Parents have the right to refuse sex-change procedures for their children, and daughters are owed fair competition on the field and in the locker room.

Puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones are radical, life-altering treatments, the protocols of the providers who prescribe them have been lax, and judges should take those harms seriously. Family Brief also opposes adding "sexual orientation and gender identity" to existing law, because it is the mechanism for erasing the distinctions between men and women, in private spaces and on women's sports teams. Those are the two questions the post puts to Congress the two issues the post says congressional Democrats supported1, and parents and female athletes are owed a plain, recorded answer from every member on both.
