“This isn’t an accident, this was engineered”

Auron MacIntyre

A parent can fight a named school, official, or policy; an accusation with no name gives a family nothing to oppose, change, or vote against.

MacIntyre called the people responsible “your greatest enemies” and wrote that Iran and China “don’t come close.” The post names no event, organization, official, policy, or mechanism1. A charge that large, aimed at the families reading it, needs a defendant and a document.

Where family structure is concerned, the numbers come from a separate report: the Institute for Family Studies released Marriage Deserts: Mapping America’s Family Divide on Oct. 8. Drawing on 2020 Census data, it maps areas of roughly 135,000 people. Across the largest married-family deserts, fewer than one in four households with children are headed by married couples, while in married-family gardens nearly nine in ten are. IFS research fellow Ken Burchfiel said income alone does not explain the gap: “culture matters a great deal as well.”2

The test for any engineering claim is a name, a document, and a date.
