DELOITTE PAYS $21.5 MILLION FOR DEFRAUDING TAXPAYERS WITH SECRET DEI SCORECARDS...
Deloitte certified to the federal government that it hired without regard to race or sex — then ran the opposite operation from 2017 on, DOJ alleged: monthly demographic scorecards grading every business unit green, yellow, or red against secret race and sex quotas, partners evaluated on hitting them, staffing lists sorting employees by race and sex for "demographic parity," and leadership programs closed to the wrong skin color. The $21.5 million False Claims Act settlement is the second scalp for DOJ's Civil Rights Fraud Initiative, after IBM's $17 million in April — and Ed Blum's American Alliance for Equal Rights takes home $4.3 million as the whistleblower.
AG Todd Blanche said it plainly: "labeling the practice DEI does not make it lawful." The credentialed class billed taxpayers while discriminating against them.
