THE CREDENTIALED LEFT IN ONE CHART — POST-GRADS AT $30–60K VOTE 70% DEMOCRAT...

Nate Silver's grid from Silver Bulletin: education across the top, income down the side, Democratic share of the two-way presidential vote in every cell (2016–2024, Cooperative Election Study). Read it left to right — the blues climb with every degree. Not with every dollar.

The circled cell is the tell: post-graduate degree + $30K–$60K household income = 70% Democrat — the hottest square on the board. Same chart, opposite pole: high-school-or-less at $60K–$100K sits at 39%. Working families. Different class. Different country, politically.

Income alone does not explain the Democratic Party. Credentials do. The stack that runs the schools, the NGOs, the agencies, and the student-loan machine — degrees piled high, paychecks not — votes for the product it ships: gender ideology, DEI dogma, and a college-debt religion that stuck kids with defaults. That's the credentialed left. Not "the rich." The credentialed.

DSA's Sweet Spot

Same stack, named. Silver: DSA members are very college-educated (80% BA+) but not particularly well-off (45% household income under $60K). Ambiguous class. Unambiguous politics — hard left on culture and economics. (thread)
