Colorado lawmakers are wrestling with new rules to limit how kids interact with AI chatbots that could expose them to suicide risks or adult content. The push comes as more states tighten guardrails on tech that preys on the young. APP's February 2026 Cygnal poll shows 81% of Americans back porn age verification — with 66% strongly in favor — and 83% support app store age verification across parties.
This is the fight APP helped lead. Twenty-four states now require age checks for online porn. In 2025, the Supreme Court upheld Texas' law 6-3. Our kids are drowning in hyper-sexualized material designed to rob their innocence. Age verification is the tool to block it.
